My drop side crib was recalled, should i still use it?

my drop side crib is a jenny lind 391 model for million dollar baby, i went to the website for the replacement piece and ordered one. will this really help? also the bed is very sturdy it doesn't move when i pull or push on it and there aren't any gaps for baby to fall into all hardware is still in good condition. should i use it? i dont have the money right now to buy a new one and the baby will be here in january, and i dont have any other places for her to sleep. is a recalled crib better than a pallet in the floor?
