How do I drop my maiden name from my Texas driver's license?

just got married, lets say my maiden name was jane doe, soc sec now has me as jane smith, but tx insists since i dont have a middle name they have to keep my maiden name so my license says jane doe smith. ive had big issues w id theft w my maiden name. keep getting the run around as to what i need to do to drop it. i probably have to get a court order and pay, thats fine, but dmv doesnt seem to know what i need to do. i have searched hi and lo and found nothing on any govt site, yes i did check the dps, dmv, and tx dot sites. noooo help.
