Games where Status Effects/Strategy really matter?

I'm sorry, but an offline game that doesn't have a button mashing, hack-n-slash style, DPS as fast as you can, simply doesn't exist. Nearly every offline RPG will be a hack-n-slash. Or the type of game YOU don't want to play haha. I suggest waiting for Guild Wars 2. The game will have a one time fee, no subscriptions, beautiful graphics, as well as diverse and unique classes.
